Production Schedule:
Start Date: 7 January 2017
Timescale: 20 Weeks
Launch Date: 27 May 2017

Planning and Research:
The planning and research mainly involves looking at competitors and analysing what they are doing well and try and take those ideas and make them our own by giving our own fresh take on it. We also need to look at the statistics to have a more specific gauge on how successful things are as statistics are mostly quantitative data.

Designing:
The Designing phase of the production schedule is literally just Deciding on the layout of the different pages and deciding what different pages are necessary to include and which ones we can add to make my website unique. In the design phase you also decide o the colour scheme of the website.

Programming:
The programming and development phase of the the production plan is literally just programming the website pages so they are functional and putting the designs we came up with into practice.

Advertising:
The advertising part of the production schedule is deciding what way we will advertise the product to the public for example if we advertise the social media on tv as and advert or we can advertise on youtube. The ads will show what the end product of the website will be like.

Finalising:
The finalising part of the plan means smoothing over any rough edges of the website e.g. fixing any bugs and issues.

Launch: The Launch phase of the production plan is the time we release the end product of the website to the public. After the launch we will run regular updates to fix any bugs and add new features, we will have a specific date to to perform maintenance on the website to avoid angering any users.

Possible revenue streams:
Musication is a free app and membership is free. The app will make most of the money through the advertisements it will host, we will try and make the adverts we host relate to music in some way. Some ideas I had for potential sponsors are Yousician, Bias FX, Yamaha, Gibson and many more. We will also offer paid promotions for  people that want more exposure on our app

Users also have the option to donate any amount of money they wish to help fund the project this is not mandatory for users.

The Donations are not a reliable income and will contribute a small amount of income however I do feel that a lot of people will want to fund this app due to its specific audience. The main revenue source for the website will be the Adverts we will host generating about £40,000 a month. The money the adverts make increases when you take into account the fact that the more clicks you get on the ads the more money we will make especially since the ads are very relevant our audience are more likely to click on them. If 100,000 users/1,000,000 users click on an advert it will make £60,000 a month.

Of the websites 1,000,000 users we are expecting 5% of users to make a donation of £5 and will make about £250,000.

  1. Can you organise you post so that the pen portrait is in the same section as the target audience.

You also need a detailed production plan with a realistic launch date.

To reach the merit criteria you need to:
    - discus legal and ethical issues (data protections, e-safety measures, copywriter . . .)
    - ensure your budget covers marketing and projected costs for the first year.

To meet the distinction criteria you need:

-Revenue potential (evidence based projection of the number of users and their hit rate, spending or advertising income)
-security measures (settings and customer protection)

  2. To pass you need to breakdown the revenue streams - e.g.. How much money on will come from advertising (evidence needed), How much from paid services or advanced subscriptions.
